You will be secured to your jumpmaster with a harness and a plane will take you both up to 15000 ft high in the sky. Jump along with your jumpmaster and free fall for about one minute and then glide down to the Earth in the next 5-7 minutes to soak in the breathtaking views of Byron Bay.

The minimum age to go skydiving at Byron Bay is 16 years. Children aged 16 to 18 years will require a legal guardian’s consent or must be accompanied by one. There is, however, no upper limit to go skydiving.
The maximum weight to go skydiving is 115 kg. Those under 95 kg can go skydiving freely, and those above 110 kg will be subject to fitness. An extra fee may be charged as well from 110 to 115 kg for the additional protective gear required.
To go skydiving in Australia, we suggest you wear casual and comfortable clothing such as activewear, jeans, or tracksuits. Wear closed shoes as well. Avoid wearing loose clothes, flip-flops, accessories, or other things you may lose during the dive.
It is advisable to eat light food one hour before you go skydiving. Avoid overeating and consumption of alcohol at least 24 hours before the jump.
Skydiving greatly depends on the weather, and cancellations may occur due to bad weather conditions, such as rain, poor visibility, fog, and heavy wind. We suggest that you check the weather before you book your skydiving experience, or pick a slot early in the morning when there are fewer chances of rain.
After a basic health checkup, your skydiving instructor will begin your training. The instructor will explain your entire experience and give you tips on best practices and techniques to follow while diving. It’ll be a brief 30-min session where they will also cover safety instructions and gearing information.
After completion of the training session, you will be provided with your safety gear. Before the jump, your instructor will re-check the gears and harnesses to ensure your safety during the jump.
While the fall itself is just about 5-7 minutes, your entire skydiving experience will last at least 3-4 hours, including the health check, training, and the fall. Once you take the plunge, you will experience free fall for about 60 seconds where your speeds can reach up to 200 kmph. Your jumpmaster will deploy the chute once you’re close enough to the ground, after which it will be a serene glide to the surface.
Australia experiences sunny and pleasant weather throughout the year, making skydiving at Byron Bay an all-year-round experience. However, if you want clear skies, lesser crowds and breathtaking views, we suggest you consider skydiving in the winter. The air may be colder than usual, but your experience may yet be unforgettable.
When it comes to the day, we suggest the morning hours to go skydiving. The earlier your slot, the better your chances of diving in pleasant weather. However, we do suggest that you check the weather on the day of your dive as well to make sure you remain prepared.

By Bus: There are buses that run daily from Brisbane or Gold Coast to Byron Bay.
By Car: The dropzone is just 15 minutes away from Byron Bay and an hour and a half from Brisbane. You can take the Pacific Motorway and exit onto Mullumbimby through the Gulgan Road exit. You’ve reached the location when you arrive at the Shell service station. We suggest you avoid using navigators as most of them suggest you turn on Grays lane, which is currently closed.

We suggest that you avoid taking the Grays lane or using navigational systems that suggest taking this route as this road is unkempt and dangerous.
Byron Bay is considered one of the best skydiving locations in Australia. While Byron Bay is a laid-back coastal town, its golden beaches and breathtaking views of the ocean blue make it a great location to jump off the plane from. If you’re lucky, you may even get to spot a humpback whale coming up to the surface!
You will be diving with a trained professional who will control your dive. This allows you to indulge in a tandem skydive, even if you have no prior experience. A brief training session is included in your experience where you will learn about safety tips and trained professionals will be with you throughout to keep you safe.
