How to Get to Skydive Mission Beach?

The dropzone is a 2-hour drive from Cairns towards the South, and a 2.5-hour drive towards the North from Townsville. You can either rent a car or take a taxi from Cairns Airport and enjoy a scenic two-hour drive along the coast. 

If you’re driving by yourself, from Bruce Highway, get onto the Tully Mission Road or El Arish Mission Road to the coast. Close to the end of the road, you will find Porter Promenade, which is just 5 minutes away from the dropzone.

Once you arrive at the dropzone, you'll need to check in and complete any necessary paperwork before your skydive. The staff at the dropzone are friendly and experienced and will provide you with all the information and training you need to make your skydiving experience safe and enjoyable.

We take your safety very seriously, so before you take to the skies, our highly trained and experienced instructors will provide you with a thorough safety briefing and training session. They'll teach you all about the equipment and techniques necessary for a safe and enjoyable jump.

You'll be securely attached to an experienced instructor who will handle all aspects of the skydive, from when to exit the aircraft to deploying the parachute and landing safely on the ground. As you dive towards the ground, take a deep breath and soak in the breathtaking views of the Great Barrier Reef, tropical islands, and lush rainforest surrounding Cairns.

However, please note that skydiving is a weather-dependent activity and may be affected by wind, rain, or other adverse weather conditions. Your safety is our top priority, and we will only operate as long as the weather conditions permit.

We recommend wearing comfortable, weather-appropriate clothing that allows for ease of movement. Dress in activewear and closed-toe shoes. Avoid wearing loose jewellery, scarves, or anything that may come loose during the skydive.

It's important to eat a light meal before your skydive to avoid feeling nauseous during the experience. Avoid consuming alcohol, caffeine, or any other substances that may affect your ability to participate in the activity. Drink plenty of water to remain hydrated.
