The minimum age is 16 years for skydiving, and children between 16 to 18 years will require parental or legal guardian consent. Children above 18 years can freely skydive at Airlie Beach.
The body weight maximum limit is set between 110-115 kg for skydiving. Anyone under 95 kg can go skydiving without restrictions, but those above 110 kg will require a fitness check for extra precautions. Pregnant women and people with heart risks are advised to avoid skydiving.
Wear casual clothing while skydiving. You can choose activewear, jeans, or a tracksuit with shoes or sneakers. Avoid wearing loose clothes and flip-flops, as they can get stuck in the equipment.
Eat healthy and light before going skydiving. Also, avoid overeating and consumption of alcohol at least 24 hours before.
Since skydiving is a weather-dependent activity, rescheduling or cancellations might occur due to bad weather, such as rain, poor visibility, fog, and heavy wind. Morning hours are ideal for skydiving, so we advise you to book your skydiving slot earlier in the morning.
The tickets also include a brief training session with an expert instructor. The instructor will brief you about the jump, parachute deployment, and landing. This session will also include safety instructions, best practices, and techniques about gears.
Once the training session is complete, you will be fitted with your safety gear. The instructor will re-check the gears and technical aspects before the jump.
The entire skydiving experience will last about 3-4 hours, in which the training is for 30 minutes. After the training, you will take a short flight up to 15000 ft. Once you take your leap of faith, you will enjoy freefall for about 60 seconds and then glide back to the ground in the next 5-6 minutes.
